Marketing to Elephants

Recently a story popped up on the internet that caught our attention here at Yebo towers.

The story suggested that an elephants emotional response to a human being is the same as a humans emotional response to a puppy.


Although there doesn’t seem to be any scientific backing to support this claim, there is plenty of evidence, which places these massive creatures at the top of the animal kingdom list for intelligence.

Elephants have a large and highly complex hippocampus (the part of the brain which is responsible for processing emotion) and it is this part of the brain that is widely thought to be the reason why they display such a wide emotional range and to be the cause for cases of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in elephants.

What’s this got to do with marketing?

With this in mind we started thinking about the emotional response our work gets from our clients and their customers. We understand that every client is different and has different needs. They wont all react the same way to creative work.

They say sex and pictures of cute cats always sell but here at Yebo we feel its important to find the unique selling reason for each individual client.

We always create work that stimulates their HIPPOCAMPUS!
