The challenge

The original brand identity had served Bruton Knowles very well, but like all things, overtime it had become dated and inconsistent, diluting the brand’s impact. Recognising how much Bruton Knowles have grown, and their exciting development roadmap ahead, now was the time to create a fresh brand to tell their new story.

The solution

There are two key brand insights that inspired our creative thinking. The first was colour. Colour increases a brand’s recognition by up to 80% and the current burgundy already owned a space on the colour wheel, away from the competition. With a subtle wheel move we chose a fresh orange, modern and vibrant, partnered with a deep teal to professionally anchor them.

Secondly, we worked with the idea that everything about Bruton Knowles is connected to the ground, whether it be land or property, and a main characteristic of the ground – contours! The contour lines organically create the company monogram, design textures and shapes. It’s like their DNA, a human characteristic linking to the expertise of the Bruton Knowles team.

The results

Like we always do, we presented several brand concepts, and we were delighted when it was the first one that immediately landed as ‘feeling right’.

Bruton Knowles should be commended for truly embracing their rebrand journey – implementing a full rebrand is a huge commitment in terms of time and money. All brand assets, signage and business collateral were updated ready for a big, impactful launch, from For Sale boards and pop-up event banners, to sales brochures, PowerPoint templates and Teams backgrounds. And the result – everything looks fresh, professional and inspiring, just like Bruton Knowles!
