Building a brand to perform
Dancescene is an independent and vibrant performing arts school that successfully nurtures a person’s talent for dance and performance as well as their character development for life. As an established dance school, Principal Sophie Carter, wanted to present a more mature and contemporary brand and contacted us to help lead this journey.
Together, we created a unique brand identity that captures the purpose and ethos of the school, making sure our work appeals to students and helps to build a sense of belonging. This truly came to life when we developed a new school uniform and clothing range, putting the new brand at the centre of the performance.

It was so important that our designs look great on merchandising for the dance school. Winning over such an eclectic audience (the youngest of which is three years old!) could be tricky so we had to make sure everyone would ‘want’ to wear it.
Careful use of colours and subtle brand application created a range that the whole school is excited and proud to wear – at show finales, in everyday lessons and for leisure outside of school. This constant promotion means brilliant brand marketing and awareness for Dancescene.
Dancescene has a strong family ethos and beyond the dance curriculum there’s always lots going on. Here the true power and flex of the brand is tested – successfully. Whether students are dancing at Disneyland or dance parents are holding a ball to raise money for the next show, Dancescene marketing communications look consistent and engaging in every situation – a winning brand performance!
