40 years of stories to tell

Smiths Fire is a reputable Northamptonshire business with a great story to tell.

They’ve been keeping businesses safe from the risk of fire for over 40 years and they’re rightly proud of their heritage and their reputation for quality service.

The challenge

There was a lot of nostalgia around our first meeting as Yebo with the Smiths Fire directors and team. James, our Creative Director, actually designed the first Smiths website in 2004 and was pleased to see it still going strong!

Years on, the Smiths Fire team still loved their branding and website, but just wanted to make it feel more modern and current day.

The solution

Smiths need a brand that works hard for them online and offline. We didn’t mess too much with the logo (James had originally designed that too!) but we did introduce a new colour palette and updated the extinguisher graphic and typeface to be more contemporary and to work better online, especially in smaller formats.

The new website Yebo designed not only looks more inviting to visitors but it’s mobile friendly and provides an easy to use CMS.

The results

The client is delighted with the sympathetic update to their branding which has made such a big impact and with their new website which, thanks to the new CMS, the team at Smiths Fire can now manage themselves, enabling them to add new content and more frequent updates.
